Below is a list of Arbor Day Celebrations, as well as tree sales and giveaways. The Mississippi Forestry Commission encourages all citizens to celebrate Mississippi Arbor Day by planting a new tree, ensuring the health of our community forests for future generations.

Pear, Peach, & Plum fruit trees and Blackberries, Blueberries, and Muscadine will be available.  Hardy Pecan, Red Oak and Red Cedar, White and Red Crape Myrtle, and Southern Magnolia will also be available. They are “bare-root” seedlings from 1 1/2 to 5 feet tall. First come, first served.  **Cash/Check only
               
Pine trees, in bundles of 50, will also be given out on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.    

Proceeds will be used to support school programs for Conservation Youth Camp, Teacher Conservation Workshop, Poster Contest, and other conservation educational programs.

A diverse selection of trees and shrubs sold in pots, typical sizes are 1 gallon or 3 gallon. 
Prices range from $16-$32 depending on size and species. Cash/check/card/PayPal will be accepted.

CCNC is a non-profit organization that seeks to conserve our land and historic features while developing a place to appreciate, enjoy, and study nature.

A limited number of fruit trees and hardwood and pine seedlings will be given away on a first-come basis. The fruit trees include Santa Rosa Plum, Honey Crisp Apple, Bell of Georgia Peach, and Bartlett Pear.
Vines include Muscadine. Hardwood seedlings include Bald Cypress, Hardy Pecan, Red Maple, Sugar Maple, White Oak, Nutall Oak, White Flowering Dogwood, and Persimmon. Ornamental Trees include southern magnolia and Red Crape myrtle.
The fruit trees and vines are limited to one per variety; hardwood seedlings are limited to three varieties for a total of 15 seedlings total, and pine seedlings are limited to two bundles of 20 seedlings.

$25 Apple Tree Bundle contains: 1-Granny Smith & 1-Red Delicious Apple Tree

Each location will have 25 Apple Tree bundles, limited to 1 bundle per family & must be a resident of Madison County.
